Job summary

Ponca City Schools Transportation is hiring a part-time Bus Driver in Ponca City, OK. Immediate starting date with responsibilities including safe bus operation, routine inspections, and adherence to schedules and routes. Must hold CDL with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements, Oklahoma Bus Driving Certificate, School Bus Endorsement, and annual fitness certification.

Reports to the Director of Transportation. Salary is $16 per hour under a 10-month contract.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold CDL with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsements.
• Must possess State of Oklahoma Bus Driving Certificate and School Bus Endorsement.
• Must submit yearly physician’s statement certifying fitness for duty.

Responsibilities

• Operates district buses following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Inspects bus for defects before each operation and cleans after use.
• Completes required maintenance and trip worksheets.
• Reports accidents and submits required paperwork promptly.
• Maintains order on bus and enforces school policies during trips.
• Complies with laws and district policies; participates in trainings.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
