Job summary

St. Catherine’s School is seeking a part-time School Bus Driver (hourly, non-exempt) to operate daily shuttle routes and field trips. The role requires a valid Virginia Driver’s License and CDL with air-brake endorsement (preferred), with at least one year of bus driving experience and experience working with children.

Qualifications

• Valid Virginia Driver’s License.
• CDL with air-brake endorsement preferred.
• One or more years of bus driving experience.
• Two or more years of experience working with children preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Drives a school transportation vehicle within prescribed route(s) and schedules.
• Coordinate with Athletics to transport athletes to/from sports events.
• Transport students and teachers on field trips and plan routes and stops.
• Operate ramp bus and assist wheelchair passengers as needed.
• Maintain order and safety of students; perform pre-trip inspections.
