Job summary

Ashland School District 5 is seeking a Bus Driver to provide safe transportation for students and events in Ashland, OR. The role requires driving on scheduled routes, enforcing safety standards, and partnering with staff to ensure reliable service.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Oregon CDL with required certifications, and the ability to communicate clearly with students and parents. 6 hours per day, 0.75 FTE, $18.24–$22.55 per hour, non-exempt.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.

• Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
• CDL and first aid training/certification as required by district.

Responsibilities

• Drive school buses on regularly scheduled routes, field trips, and district-approved trips.
• Enforce district policies, safety rules, and traffic laws during transport and loading/unloading of students.
• Maintain bus cleanliness, perform pre-trip inspections, and report mechanical issues to the Transportation Supervisor.
• Provide impeccable customer service and communicate clearly with students, staff, and parents.
