Job summary

Beacon Mobility is seeking a Charter/School Bus Driver to transport students and passengers safely and on schedule. This role offers paid CDL training, flexible scheduling with afternoon, evening, and weekend hours to fit your life, and a starting pay of $27 per hour.

Responsibilities include operating a school bus, assessing traffic, adhering to laws, maintaining CDL certifications, and conducting pre/post trip checks.

Qualifications

• Age 21+ and a valid driver’s license for 3+ consecutive years.
• Satisfactory driving record with no suspensions.
• Ability to pass a background check (CORI & SORI).
• CDL B with S&P endorsements or willingness to obtain.
• Willing to drive to a variety of locations and adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus to transport passengers safely and on time.
• Assess traffic and road conditions and monitor passenger behavior.
• Follow all state and federal traffic laws while operating the vehicle.
• Maintain CDL and state school bus certifications per guidelines.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and safety checks.
• Assist passengers on and off the vehicle as needed.
