The role requires MA CDL with S endorsement and a School Bus Driver Certificate, plus an excellent driving record and ability to work with diverse families. Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese is a plus; CPR/First Aid certification must be obtained within the

Qualifications

• Valid MA CDL with 'S' endorsement and School Bus Driver Certificate.
• Excellent driving record required.
• Able to communicate with children, families and co-workers from diverse backgrounds.
• Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese skills are a plus.
• CPR & First Aid certification within the required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Follow all SMOC policies, EEC regulations and Head Start Standards.
• Operate vehicles safely and follow traffic regulations.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections and end-of-run checks.
• Promptly report maintenance issues to Transportation Manager.
• Ensure a bus monitor on runs with Head Start children; manage attendance and safety tasks.
