Job summary

Niles City School District is seeking a diligent Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school and events, following routes and schedules and maintaining professional conduct at all times.

This full-time position requires Ohio CDL with S&P endorsements, a high school diploma, and compliance with state laws; the driver will perform pre-trip inspections, report issues, and support student safety and district operations.

Qualifications

• Ohio certification/license required.
• State of Ohio Class B CDL with S and P endorsements.
• BCII check on file.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Superintendent/Board may approve alternatives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of students.
• Transport students to and from school and events.
• Follow bus routes and schedules.
• Report mechanical problems to supervisor.
• Maintain vehicle neat and clean.
• Maintain knowledge of driving laws for student transport.
• Observe safety regulations for school buses.
• Discharge students only at authorized stops.
• Complete pre-trip inspection of the vehicle.
• Attend bus driver meetings and emergency drills.
