Qualifications

• Ability to pass pre-employment physical incl. DOT medical card and DOT drug screening.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• No convictions for driving with suspended/revoked license.
• Ability to work varying shifts; assignments based on seniority.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
• Safely operate the bus to minimize risk of injury and damage.
• Comply with all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean, secure bus and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain schedules and order on the bus; take attendance.
• Transport students per routes; communicate passenger rules.
• Assist passengers with disabilities during boarding and riding.
• Communicate with dispatch via two-way radio; report issues.
• Report hazards along routes and loading zones; adapt to changes.
• Assist in controlling accident or incident scenes when required.
• Attend mandatory safety training and meetings.
