First Student, Inc. in Penny, NY is hiring full-time School Bus Drivers to start students' days with morning pickup and transport them home safely after school. Additional hours for field trips and events may be available.

No experience is required; we provide expert training to help you become a safe, professional driver. Benefits include medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401(k) with company match, a $3,000 sign-on bonus, and guaranteed minimum hours with weekday AM/PM routes.

Qualifications

• No experience required; expert training provided.
• Must be 21+ years old and hold a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• DOT drug testing applies to safety-sensitive employees.
• English proficiency required for role and safety communications.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus and prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, etc.).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean.
• Obey traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or behavior.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
