Job summary

Mingus Union High School is seeking a qualified bus driver to transport students safely and on time. The role requires operation and daily inspection of assigned school vehicles, adherence to safety procedures, and supervision of students during routes.

The position welcomes candidates with a Post High School certificate/license, CDL training, and First Aid/CPR certification; training is provided if needed. The work is on-site at Mingus Union High School.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and work well with staff, parents and children.
• No prior experience necessary. Will train right candidate.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety guidelines and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Operates assigned vehicles in a safe manner.
• Pre and post trip inspections.
• Maintains a daily mileage and student count log.
• Reports safety hazards and the need for major and minor repairs.
• Cleans and fuels bus.
• Maintains accurate route maps.
• Supervises students during routes and trips. Reports behavior problems as required.
