Job summary

MSD Decatur Township is seeking a dedicated bus driver to safely operate a school bus and transport students, ensuring their safety and adherence to schedules. You will assist passengers, including those with disabilities, and keep the bus clean and orderly while following all traffic laws and regulations.

The role requires a CDL with P and S endorsements, successful completion of relevant trainings, and a clean driving record. Training to obtain the CDL is provided by Decatur Township Schools.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Complete an Expanded Criminal Background Check and a Child Protection Index Check.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must pass random drug and alcohol tests after employment.
• Clear driving record.
• Must hold a valid CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the school bus and transport students according to schedule.
• Assist passengers, including students with disabilities, in boarding and exiting the bus.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and orderly student conduct on the bus.
• Obey all traffic laws and state/federal transit regulations.
