Job summary

The Orrick R-XI School District is seeking a School Bus Driver to transport students to and from school and events with a focus on safety and friendly conduct. The role requires performing pre-trip inspections and maintaining orderly, safe transport conditions for all riders.

Responsibilities include assisting riders with loading/unloading, reporting incidents, and conducting routine bus cleaning. Requires a Missouri CDL-B, clean driving record, and the ability to work a 4-day school week with

Qualifications

• Must have a current Missouri Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• CDL-B required with passenger and school bus endorsements; air brake endorsements preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must pass pre-employment background checks (DOT physical exam, drug test, and background clearance).

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, appropriate behavior of riders per guidelines.
• Assess incidents, accidents, emergencies and report timely.
• Assist students with safe loading/unloading and safety procedures.
• Perform routine interior and exterior cleaning for safety and sanitation.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to meet safety standards.
• Prepare written/verbal reports on trips, incidents, inspections and counts.
