First Student is hiring part-time School Bus Drivers in James Island, Johns Island, and Hollywood, SC. You’ll start with before-school pickup and return students home after classes, with a split six-hour shift and no nights or weekends unless you want extra hours.

No experience is required, and we provide paid CDL training, a competitive starting wage, and opportunities through trips and charters. Applicants must be 21+, hold a valid license for 3 years, and English proficiency.

Now Hiring Part Time School Bus Drivers for James Island, Johns Island, and Hollywood, SC

As a First Student Part Time School Bus Driver you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of the students you transport. You will be there at the start of the students’ day with before-school pickup and at the end with an afternoon shift to bring students safely back home. No experience as a bus driver is required! We’re proud to train you with our industry-leading technology to help you succeed.

Your day will include:

• A split shift, which means an early morning before-school pickup and an after-school drop-off with a few free hours in between.
• A guaranteed shift of (6) hours per school day, no working nights or weekends unless you want to.
• Additional hours gained through trips and charters when available.

School Bus Driver benefits:

• $22.75 - $33.08 an hour starting wage, based on school bus driver experience.

• $500 Bonus if Commercial Learner's Permit is received with 7 days of completing State Class.
