Job summary

Cape Cod Collaborative Nantucket Transportation is hiring a CDL Bus Driver to transport students in Nantucket, MA, focusing on the health, safety and welfare of children during transport. This is a school-year position with no expectation of employment when school is not in session.

The role requires a CDL with endorsements (or 7D), 21+ years old, and CORI/fingerprint background checks, plus drug/alcohol testing.

Qualifications

• Maintains CPR/First Aid certification (employer will provide training).
• Current CDL license with endorsements, or 7D license depending on route.
• Over the age of 21.
• Knowledge of safe student transportation procedures.
• Capable of lifting 40 lbs and assisting with wheelchairs.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily bus circle checks and reports issues.
• Transports students to and from school per route and safety rules.
• Keeps current route information and coordinates with Transportation Office.
• Ensures bus cleanliness and proper evacuation procedures.
• Maintains ability to load/unload students safely and assist in emergencies.
