Job description

We are seeking a responsible and caring School Bus Attendant to join our team. The School Bus Attendant will assist the bus driver in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their bus ride. This role involves supervising students, assisting with boarding and exiting the bus, and ensuring a safe and orderly environment on the bus.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely.
2. Ensure students are seated and wearing seatbelts if applicable.
3. Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus.
4. Provide assistance to students with special needs.
5. Communicate with the bus driver regarding any issues or concerns.
6. Assist in emergency situations following established protocols.
7. Ensure the bus is clean and presentable.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the bus driver or transportation supervisor.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous experience working with children is preferred.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations.
5. Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
6. Ability to work early mornings and afternoons.
