Job summary

Blue Bird Bus Sales of Pittsburgh, Inc. is looking for an Equipment Installer to install aftermarket equipment on school buses, including multi-camera systems and safety accessories. Candidates should be comfortable using various tools and possess a keen attention to detail.

The installer will be responsible for securing and terminating wiring safely, reading schematics, testing systems for compliance, and maintaining an organized workspace. A passion for workmanship is essential, and previous installation experience is preferred.

Job description

This position can be full-time or part-time.

The main duties of the Equipment Installer are:

• Install aftermarket equipment on school buses which include
  • Multi-camera systems (interior & exterior)
  • DVRs, monitors, and wiring harnesses
  • Sensors, GPS, and other safety accessories
• Route, secure, and terminate wiring cleanly and safely
• Read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and installation instructions
• Test systems for proper operation and compliance
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all company standards
• communicate effectively with supervisors

Requirements:

• Comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship
• Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of camera systems, DVRs, and multiplex wiring
• ASE, EVT, or similar certifications a plus
• Previous upfitting or aftermarket installation experience
