Job summary

Canvas Health seeks a School-Based Therapist for the TAP Program to deliver diagnostic assessments and therapy to at-risk students within Hale MPS School District. Services are provided on-site at school, home, or community settings, with potential reduced summer hours.

Applicants must hold a Masters or Doctorate in social work, family therapy, or psychology with clinical emphasis, a Minnesota license or eligibility, and experience with diverse youth and families.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctorate in SW, family therapy, or psychology with clinical emphasis is required.
• Minnesota state license or eligibility to become credentialed is required (LP/LICSW/LMFT or license eligible).
• Extensive knowledge of severe emotional disorders in children and families is preferred.
• Ability to plan and implement treatment strategies for children with SED is preferred.
• Experience with students and families of color and understanding of poverty impact is preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records is preferred.
• Must have own vehicle and valid driver's license; travel between locations may be frequent.
• Use of a cell phone is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic assessments and therapy to at-risk students and families in a school setting.
• Deliver clinical services on-site at school, home, or community locations; may have reduced summer schedule.
• Collaborate with school psychologists, social workers, teachers and other mental health providers; offer case consultation and training.
