Job summary

Jewish Family Services (JFS) is seeking a School-Based Therapist to provide direct, on-site counseling to students across the St. Louis metropolitan area during the school year.

You will deliver individual and group therapy, use trauma-informed and culturally responsive care, and work with teachers and caregivers to build effective treatment plans while supporting crisis intervention and prevention efforts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or psychology with psychotherapy experience.
• Experience in delivering psychotherapy or social services; school-based or clinical mental health setting a plus.
• Licensure: provisional or full licensure as clinical social worker, psychologist, or counselor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group therapy to students in a school-based setting.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning as needed.
• Maintain confidential client records and reports in compliance with laws and ethics.
• Plan and facilitate outreach, classroom presentations, and prevention programming.
