Job summary

Jewish Family Services (JFS) is seeking a School-Based Therapist to provide direct, on-site counseling for students across the St. Louis area during the school year. This 10-month, exempt position supports mental health initiatives within partner schools and families.

You will deliver individual and group therapy, apply trauma-informed care, and work with educators to create effective treatment plans, while engaging in prevention programming and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or psychology.
• Experience delivering psychotherapy and social services.
• Provisional licensure required; full licensure preferred.
• Experience in school-based or clinical mental health settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group therapy to students in a school-based setting.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school support staff, and caregivers to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention services, including risk assessment and safety planning.
• Maintain confidential client records, complete case documentation and reports, and track outcomes data.
• Plan and facilitate outreach, classroom presentations, and group prevention programming.
