The School Based Therapist is a professional provider of counseling services to students and/or parents. Required experience may be gained through District employment as a pre-licensed therapist. Advancement to this position is based on need and compliance with the requirements of the position, including proper state licensure.
Master’s Degree Or Higher In Marriage And Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Or a Closely Related Field. Two Years Of Relatedexperience, Which Includes
Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential preferred. Experience providing clinical supervision to pre-licensed therapists preferred.
Valid California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or Valid California Board of Psychology license; Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.). Valid California driver’s license.
Work is performed primarily indoors where minimal safety considerations exist.
