Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program in Newark, OH seeks a full-time Therapist for the STAR School Based Team. You will provide counseling, advocacy, and support to youth and families to promote safe community living, under supervision.

Requires a Master’s in Social Work or related field, plus licensure and experience with youth. This role offers generous time off, health coverage, CEUs, student loan repayment, and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
• 2 years of work experience with youth and families strongly preferred.
• Valid advanced professional license as required by state or contract regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, group, and family mental health services and case management.
• Travels to provide community based services for youth and families.
• Completes required documentation in a timely manner.
• Regularly meets productivity thresholds.
• Coordinates and monitors youth and family services across multiple domains.
• Reviews and updates youth plans to ensure progress toward goals.
• Maintains relationships with foster parents and families of origin.
• Supports family reunification and stable living arrangements as per plan.
• Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and stabilization services.
• Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement activities.
• Engages in weekly supervision process.
