Job summary

Carastar Health is seeking an experienced therapist to deliver individual therapy to children and adolescents with serious mental illnesses in a school setting, with assignments to one or more counties and an assigned caseload.

The role involves intake, treatment planning, therapy sessions (individual/group/family), crisis intervention, documentation, and collaboration with schools and families. Licensure is not required immediately, with potential progression as licensure is obtained.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in behavioral sciences with clinical practicum.
• ALC, LPC, LGSW or LCSW preferred.
• Some clinical experience preferred.
• Licensure not required; may start as Therapist I and advance after licensure.

Responsibilities

• Respond to referrals and coordinate with school gatekeepers and families.
• Conduct initial intake interviews and develop treatment plans.
• Perform mental health evaluations or other therapeutic services at assigned locations.
• Provide crisis intervention and assessments for clients seen on an emergency basis.
• Update treatment plans and review objectives and interventions.
• Document all services in the Electronic Health Record and complete required forms.
• Engage in community service and consultation as assigned.
