Community Partners of South Florida (CPSFL) is seeking a School Based Therapist on a contract basis in Riviera Beach, FL. The role focuses on delivering mental health services to children and families within school and community settings.

The incumbent will provide individual, family, and group therapy, travel locally, and participate in a flexible schedule including evenings as needed. This contract position offers competitive hourly compensation and opportunities for professional growth within

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy from an accredited university.
  • Experience with children with serious emotional disturbances, trauma, or abuse/neglect preferred.
  • Registered Intern with the State of Florida OR eligible to obtain Registered Intern status within 90 days OR License with the State of Florida (LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW).
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy to children and families per treatment plan.
  • Act as liaison with outside social service agencies, schools, and organizations.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure required billables.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy (or the equivalent) from an accredited university or college in the field of counseling, social work, or psychology.
  • Experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances, trauma, and abuse/neglect issues - preferred.
  • Registered Intern with the State of Florida OR eligible to obtain Registered Intern status within 90 days of position appointment, OR License with the State of Florida (LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW).
  • Valid Florida driver’s license, ability to drive and provide proof of automobile insurance for vehicle being used for work, dependable transportation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of children and families with psychological, behavioral and/or psychosocial issues.
  • Ability to work well as a member of a team and to be flexible.
  • Understanding of the stages of child/adolescent growth and development.
  • Demonstrate cultural competence and awareness of the socio-cultural characteristics of clients served.
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally within Palm Beach County; work a flexible schedule, which includes evenings and possibly weekends, and to work in a school and home-based environment.
  • Some knowledge of community resources.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Computer knowledge and competency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ORGANIZATION CULTURE: Promote themission, values and vision ofCommunityPartners of South Florida.
  • TEAM PLAYER: Collaborate withthe multi-disciplinaryteam.
  • SUPPORTING CLIENTS: Provide individual,family, and/orgrouptherapyto childrenand families inadherencewith thetreatment plan.
  • OUTREACH: Actasa liaisonand appropriaterepresentative fortheagencywith outside socialserviceagencies, schools, and otherorganizations.
  • BILLABLES: Provide aminimumof25 billable clientservices perweekORasoutlined intrainingplan during onboardingperiod.
  • DOCUMENTATION: Utilize collaborative documentation during therapy sessions and assessments with children, adolescents, and families.

Compensation:
$30/hr for Registered Intern and $40/hr for Licensed
