Applewood Centers is a private, nonprofit agency providing mental health services, social services and education to children, adolescents and families living in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties. Dedicated to addressing a variety of behavioral, emotional and learning problems, we provide a continuum of care from outpatient counseling to residential treatment.

Position Summary:We are hiring a Clinical Therapist to join our School Based team andprovide behavioral health counseling, assessments.Services to be provided primarily in the school but also in the community and home setting during non-school time.Schools are located in Lorain County. We have full time and part time positions available.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providetherapeutic service includingclinical case management, consultation and prevention groups for children and families to assist clients and families with skill development, anger management, managing mental, emotional and behavior symptomology.
• Work collaboratively with school administration and staff in the school setting to provide them, as well as the identified students with consultative support.
• Provide individual supervision and group supervision for LPC, LSW and MFT candidates seeking independent licensure in a supportive team environment.

Requirements:

• A Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling, an LSW, LPC or MFT is required
• Bachelor level licensed social workers who have diagnostic and clinical experience will be considered.
• Prior experience in the delivery of mental health services in the school/community to children and families with complex needs is essential.
• This position requires flexibility of schedule and ability to travel in response to the needs of families.
