Job summary

Brightli is seeking a School Based Support Specialist to empower youth through behavioral health plans, coordinating with families and community resources to promote recovery and resilience within home and school environments.

You will apply behavioral science, manage a caseload, and collaborate with supervisors to meet client goals while following Brightli guidelines and ensuring quality care.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least a 21+ age requirement to operate company vehicles
  • Must pass background check including criminal, driving, abuse/neglect and fingerprint checks
  • Reliable transportation to transport clients as needed

Responsibilities

  • Apply behavioral science principles to support youth in thriving in home and community environments
  • Foster recovery and resilience by aligning with client treatment goals
  • Manage a caseload and coordinate with supervisory staff
  • Participate in client staffing to identify challenges and set achievable treatment goals
  • Provide emergency services when needed with sound judgment
  • Support adherence to Brightli guidelines and ethical codes
  • Assist with data collection, program evaluation, grant applications, and contract maintenance

As a key member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students by providing support and activities outlined in comprehensive treatment plans. You’ll work closely with students, families, and community resources to promote recovery, resilience, and overall well-being.

In this role, you’ll apply behavioral science principles to support youth in thriving in their home and community environments. You’ll employ a supportive educational approach that aligns with client treatment goals, engage in activities designed to meet diverse student needs, and manage a caseload while ensuring coordination with supervisory staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply behavioral science principles to support youth in thriving in their home and community environments

Employ a supportive educational approach that aligns with client treatment goals and fosters recovery and resilience

Engage in activities designed to meet diverse student needs and objectives

Manage a caseload, ensuring coordination with supervisory staff and participating in client staffing to identify challenges and set achievable goals for treatment

Exercise discretion and sound judgment when providing emergency services to students in emotional crisis

Collaborate closely with Brightli Operational Guidelines and adhere to professional ethical codes

Support management requirements, including data collection, program evaluation, grant applications, and contract maintenance

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other human services specialized field of study

Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field and two years of related work experience

Any four-year combination of higher education and two years of related work experience

Associate’s of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support

Four years of qualifying experience, including delivery of services to individuals with mental health disorders, substance use disorders, or developmental disabilities

Additional Qualifications:

Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle

Must have reliable means of transportation to transport clients in personal vehicle

Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance

Successful completion of background check, including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull

Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift

Sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing
