Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in Salem, OR to help elementary students strengthen communication skills and classroom participation. You will work under a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide targeted language support in grades 3–5.

Responsibilities include implementing individualized activities, collaborating with teachers and related staff, and maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Oregon SLPA license required
• Two sets of fingerprints required for school clearance
• School-based or pediatric SL experience preferred

Position Overview

• Provide speech and language support to elementary students in grades 3–5, helping them develop effective communication skills and participate successfully in the classroom.
• Implement individualized speech-language activities and interventions under the direction and supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and related service providers to reinforce communication goals and support student progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services, student progress, and relevant observations.

Qualifications

• Active Oregon Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) License required
• Two sets of fingerprints required for applicable birth-5 school clearance requirements
• School-based or pediatric speech-language experience preferred
