Job summary

Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools (KCKPS) is seeking a Speech Language Pathology Assistant to provide speech-language services under the direction of a KS licensed SLP. The district serves about 20,000 students with diverse language needs and operates 28 elementary schools, 7 middle schools, and 5 high schools.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, preparing therapy materials, collecting progress data, and collaborating with educators across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences/Disorders or related field preferred.
• High school diploma with 30+ hours in related field required.
• Experience in schools or pediatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows a treatment plan under supervision of licensed SLP.
• Creates treatment activities and prepares materials.
• Collects data to document progress on IEP goals.
• Collaborates with teachers, therapists, and staff.
• Attends meetings and trainings as assigned.
• Performs related duties to support efficient operation.
