Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in a school-based or pediatric environment
• Familiarity with IEP development, special education compliance, and collaborative service delivery models
• Experience working with at-risk student populations

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the administrator over special education to coordinate daily service schedules, evaluation timelines, and annual IEP meetings
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including eligibility determinations, annual reviews, and progress monitoring discussions
• Conduct speech and language evaluations and contribute to assessment planning as part of the special education process
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized speech-language goals aligned with each student’s IEP
• Provide specially designed instruction to meet the unique communication needs of students through a variety of service models
• Document service delivery, progress notes, and compliance-related paperwork in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines
• Consult with teachers and families to support carryover of communication strategies across classroom and home environments
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
• Other duties as assigned
