Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a school-based contract role. You will manage a dedicated caseload with direct, group, and consultative services, focusing on functional communication goals and AAC implementation.

Job description

Step into a dynamic opportunity supporting students ages 321 in a contract Speech-Language Pathologist role. Youll work with a dedicated caseload of approximately 2540 students, many of whom present with visual impairments and a range of cognitive, medical, and orthopedic needs. Services include a mix of direct, consultative, and group therapy, all thoughtfully woven into students routines. The primary emphasis is on functional goals: building independence and enhancing communication, particularly for non-verbal students. Youll play a vital part in establishing and integrating AAC systems, eye gaze technology, tactile and picture communication tools, and low-tech devices throughout the school day.

This assignment begins with orientation on August 24th and the first full day with students on August 31st, continuing through June 11, 2027 (pending potential makeup days). Your schedule will be MondayFriday, 35 hours per week, providing ongoing support for transformative growth.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
  • Active state licensure (or eligibility) in Pennsylvania
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Prior school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
  • Experience implementing AAC systems and working with students with complex medical needs is highly beneficial
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and adaptability skills
