Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Sciences and Disorders.
• Active Illinois SLP license.
• Valid driver's license. Must meet state driving requirements.
• Must pass IL DCFS background check.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, or swallowing ability.
• Identify treatment goals with clients.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Teach sounds, voice improvement, and fluency maintenance.
• Improve vocabulary and sentence structure.
• Strengthen swallowing-related muscles with clients.
• Counsel clients and families on communication challenges.
• Conduct assessments and interventions in classrooms and clinics.
• Co-treat/co-teach options and small group therapy available.
• Collaborate with SLPs, educators and related staff in a private school setting.
