School Based Speech Language Pathologist Job (SLP) near Saint Paul, MN

Minimum Requirements: 1+ years of speech therapy experience.

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will work with students across K-12 to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a diverse student population and will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students.
  2. Therapeutic Intervention: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language needs.
  3. IEP Development: Collaborate with educators, parents, and other stakeholders to create and review IEPs for students with communication disorders.
  4. Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
  5. Consultation: Provide guidance and support to teachers and parents on strategies to support students' communication needs.
  6. Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
Qualifications
  1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  2. Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  3. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  4. Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting is highly desirable.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff.
  6. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
