Job summary

Norwalk Public Schools is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year at Rowayton Elementary School. The SLP will provide IEP-mandated speech services to eligible students, evaluate and identify communication disorders, and develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Required qualifications include licensure by the State of CT Board of Health and experience in writing IEP goals. Preferred qualifications include public school experience and Spanish fluency.

Qualifications

• Licensure by the State of CT Board of Health.
• Experience in writing IEP goals/objectives.
• Experience with the PPT process.
• Experience in working with families from diverse backgrounds.
• Spanish fluency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide IEP-mandated speech services to eligible students.
• Evaluate referred students and write related reports.
• Consult with school staff on an as-needed basis.
• Conduct speech, language and hearing screenings.
• Develop and implement IEPs.
