Job summary

Savannah-Chatham County Public School System seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to provide diagnostic and prescriptive therapy to students with speech and language disorders, ensuring they benefit from the regular education program.

This full-time position reports to the Program Manager, Exceptional Children, and involves collaboration with teachers, attendance at in-service programs, and comprehensive assessment.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Georgia Service Certificate in Speech and Language Pathology required.
• Experience with diagnostic-prescriptive therapy encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic-prescriptive therapy to address speech and communication disorders.
• Serve as a resource to teachers for a balanced program of oral communication and speech improvement.
• Assess and diagnose speech, voice, fluency and language impairments.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary RTI team to support student needs.
• Maintain thorough records and data for therapy and student progress.
• Provide information, support, and counseling to families when appropriate.
• Assist in requisitioning and maintaining needed equipment and supplies.
