Job summary

Birch Academy is seeking a collaborative and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Special Education team. This role focuses on evaluating, planning, and delivering services to high school students with diverse communication needs.

The SLP will participate in IEP meetings, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and monitor progress while maintaining thorough documentation. Strong teamwork and a focus on functional communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid state SLP license and/or educational certification required.
• CCC-SLP preferred; CF candidates may be considered.
• Experience working with adolescents or neurodiverse learners preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language evaluations and prepare reports.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support students' communication, social-pragmatic skills, and self-advocacy.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff across settings.
• Consult with staff and partner with families to support student progress.
