Alexander County Schools EC/Student Support Services in Taylorsville, North Carolina is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a permanent 10-month full-time position.

Starting August 1, 2024, the role focuses on assisting students with communication needs, coordinating with staff and families, and documenting services for Medicaid billing. Requires Master's in SLP; NC licensure; CCC preferred; reports to Exceptional Children Director.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• CCC from ASHA preferred but not required.
• Current NC DPI G license required.
• License from NC Board of Examiners for SLPs and Audiologists required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee school programs and coordinate services with staff and families.
• Screen, test, diagnose, and advise on speech-language services.
• Develop IEPs for eligible children in collaboration with teachers and parents.
• Deliver therapy and manage resources to support curriculum.
• Provide consultation and referrals for implementation of services.
