Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work required.
• Must hold or be eligible for certification as a School Social Worker.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in school social work preferred.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate with district personnel and community agencies.

Responsibilities

• Liaison between the school, family, and community to meet the needs of students and families.
• Conducts student/family needs assessments to determine barriers to accessing education.
• Identifies resources and support to improve social-emotional and academic outcomes for students.
• Collaborates with community agencies to provide resources to students and families.
• Conducts home visits to facilitate home-school connections.
• Utilizes student data to assess, implement, and evaluate social work interventions.
• Applies MTSS, PBIS, and CARE Teams to support student needs.
• Supports compliance with attendance policies and mandatory reporting protocols.
• Maintains student records and monthly data reports for school social work services.
