Job summary

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid credential or licensure as a school social worker
• Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of child development, social-emotional learning, and behavioral supports in early childhood through primary grades
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop and maintain effective, trusting relationships with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver social work services to students in Young 5 2nd grade, focusing on social-emotional and behavioral needs
• Conduct individual and small group counseling sessions as needed
• Consult with teachers and staff to develop intervention strategies and support student success
• Engage families to connect them with school and community resources
• Maintain accurate records and progress documentation in accordance with regulations and school protocols
