Job summary

Success Matcher Recruitment is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in St. Clair County, AL, for school-based work under the supervision of a licensed SLP.

You will implement treatment plans for Pre-K through 12th grade to improve articulation, language, and classroom participation. You will perform direct therapy, data collection, material prep, AAC device maintenance, and occasional clerical duties within a school setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an SLPA program or a Bachelor's in Communications Sciences and Disorders.
• Alabama SLPA License issued by ABESPA.
• Must meet ALSDE requirements for support personnel.
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric clinical setting preferred.
• Must pass Alabama background check and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Direct Therapy Implementation: follow SLP plans to treat articulation, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
• Student Engagement: work one-on-one or in small groups.
• Progress Tracking: collect data and document performance for the supervising SLP.
• Material Preparation: create/adapt clinical materials for student needs.
• Equipment Maintenance: ensure AAC devices are functional for student use.
• Clerical Support: assist with scheduling, records, and IEP prep as directed.
