Job summary

Nyman Associates is seeking a School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (temporary) to provide therapy under the supervision of licensed SLPs in a supportive school setting. This role focuses on helping students communicate effectively and progress toward IEP goals.

The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers, families, and other clinicians, collecting data and preparing therapy materials. Prior SLPA coursework or licensure helps, with flexibility for licensing status.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program, or equivalent coursework in communication sciences and disorders
• State SLPA license or credential (if applicable) or in the process of applying
• School-based experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
• Implement treatment plans designed by supervising SLPs
• Support students in achieving IEP goals through therapy activities
• Collect and document data on student progress
• Assist with preparation of therapy materials and activities
• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families as directed by the supervising SLP
