Job summary

RCM HealthCare Travel is seeking a local contract Speech Language Pathologist for a Dearborn, Michigan assignment. In-person service at the elementary school, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week during the 2026/2027 school year.

Options for full-time (37.5 hours) or part-time placement, W2, local contract. The role requires Michigan SLP credentials, SB endorsement or CCC, a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, and district-specific language acquisition strategies experience.

Qualifications

• Masters in speech-language pathology required
• SB endorsement and/or Clinical Competence Certificate required
• State certification as teacher of the speech and language impaired preferred
• 60 semester hours in communication, development, and clinical techniques
• 300 clock hours of supervised practicum with communication disorders
• Early Childhood or Elementary certification preferred
• Demonstrated skills in assessment and treatment of articulation, language, voice, and fluency impairment
• Willingness to learn district strategies for language acquisition

Responsibilities

• Assist early elementary general education teachers in facilitating language acquisition and sound awareness
• Act as liaison between school and home to foster parent involvement
• Participate in intervention team meetings to support general education teachers on language strategies
• Conduct speech/language evaluations and determine eligibility per MARSE
• Manage caseload and develop/implement IEPs
• Maintain and submit records and reports promptly
• Demonstrate written and oral communication proficiency
• Collaborate with staff and adhere to school policies
• Travel between multiple buildings
