Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred.
• DESE License of Speech Language and Hearing Disorders (All Levels) Required.
• Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Professional Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• ASHA Certification is desirable.
• CCC, Required.
• Experience as a Speech and Language Pathologist in a school setting preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills in child speech and language development.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with intensive instruction in speech, language, communication, and pragmatic language skills as determined by the Team process and IEP.
• Assess students via formal and informal test measures and write formal reports.
• Participate in development of a student’s IEP.
• Assist teachers and other staff in accommodations and classroom strategies per IEP.
• Create a developmentally appropriate, child-centered environment.
• Maintain records and provide timely reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to school culture.
