Job summary

Light Street Special Education Solutions in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver comprehensive SLP services within a multidisciplinary team. You will evaluate students, plan evidence-based interventions, and support IEP goals to improve communication in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Maintain license per ASHA requirements.
• Current CA Licensure and COC or CTC (or willing to obtain).
• Current negative TB skin test or risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of articulation, fluency, voice, and expressive/receptive language.
• Develop and implement speech-language therapy interventions aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate speech-language strategies into the curriculum.
• Contribute to the IEP process by providing insights on student progress and interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development to stay current with best practices.
• Provide expertise in assistive technology and communication strategies to support access to the curriculum.
• Collaborate with the special education team to ensure Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
• Mentor and/or supervise assistants or students in the SLT community.
• Provide trainings to instructional and related service staff.

Education

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology

ASHA certification/licensure requirements

California Licensure (COC or CTC) or willing to obtain
