Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active New York SLP license and ASHA CCC-SLP certification (eligibility).
• Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school environment preferred.
• Strong skills in articulation and fluency interventions.
• Excellent communication, organization and collaboration abilities.
• Demonstrated flexibility and positive attitude in educational environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy services focused on articulation and fluency in education classrooms.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and other school staff to develop strategies for student success.
• Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations for speech and language needs, documenting progress and maintaining accurate records.
• Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to each student’s unique needs.
• Foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere while empowering students to improve their communication abilities.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to parent communications as needed.
