Job summary

Arthur Center in Mexico, MO is hiring a School Based Services Supervisor to lead a clinical team delivering school-based and community mental health services for youth and families. You will supervise therapists, ensure service quality, and coordinate with the School Based Services Director on program initiatives.

The role requires QMHP credentials, Missouri licensure, and at least five years of clinical experience with youth and/or SMI, plus supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Meets the QMHP criteria per DMH regulation 9 CSR 10-7.140.
• Current Missouri licensure in a behavioral health field (LCSW/LMSW, LPC, PLPC, LMFT or equivalent).
• Minimum of five years’ clinical experience serving youth and/or adults with SED or severe mental illness.
• Prior supervisory or clinical leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative supervision to School Based Therapists and Specialists.
• Monitor staff caseloads and quality of direct care to youth and families.
• Support staff through trauma‑informed, strengths‑based supervision while balancing accountability.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and staff competency development.
• Oversee intake processes, referrals, assessments, admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Ensure clinical documentation compliance with DMH rules and policies.
• Assist with crisis intervention, school coordination and community trainings.
• Support integrated school-based program operations and partnerships.
