Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools is seeking a licensed school counselor/psychologist or related role at Groveland Elementary for the 2026-27 school year. The position includes direct counseling, group interventions, and collaboration with teachers and families to support student social-emotional needs.

Responsibilities cover RTI alignment, IEP services, classroom guidance lessons, and crisis intervention when needed.

Qualifications

• Minnesota K-12 licensure in counseling, social work, or psychology is required.
• Experience supporting social-emotional/behavioral needs of students.
• Ability to conduct developmental guidance and deliver small-group interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling including crisis intervention as needed.
• Support RTI for social-emotional and behavioral needs.
• Assist teachers with accommodations for student social-emotional needs.
• Develop and implement IEP-appropriate services and document progress.
• Lead developmental guidance lessons in classroom settings.
• Help families understand school programs and improve home-school communication.
• Complete required due process procedures within mandated time frames.
• Possibly manage cases for special education students.
• Participate on multidisciplinary teams for referrals to outside agencies.
• Prepare service plans and attend IEP meetings.
