CAMPBELL COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT #1 SPECIAL SERVICES CENTER in Gillette, Wyoming seeks a Special Programs Behavior Specialist to support and enhance social emotional and behavior programming for students with disabilities. The role starts August 10, 2026 and emphasizes collaboration with educators and families to ensure FAPE.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and behavior impact on student performance.
• Understanding of laws and regulations governing education of students with disabilities.
• Understanding of Special Education evaluation and IEP processes.
• Broad knowledge across curriculum areas.
• Ability to assess social-emotional and behavioral needs for instruction.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff to develop and implement SEL and behavior programming district-wide.
• Provide staff development on behavior management strategies.
• Consult with families and staff on behavior plans and interventions.
• Assist with Functional Behavior Assessments and data collection when appropriate.
• Support crisis interventions and collaboration with outside specialists.
