Job summary

Big Smiles, a school-based mobile dental practice, seeks a Registered Dental Assistant in Oakland, CA and surrounding areas to serve underserved children at their schools. This role offers a daytime schedule with no evenings or weekends and travel to various sites.

The RDA will perform dental assisting during mobile clinics, handle digital X-ray imaging, patient records, and clinic setup and sterilization. CPR certification required and 1+ year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold active CPR certification card.
• Must have 1+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Must have 1+ years Digital X-ray Imaging experience.
• Valid driver license, reliable transportation and a willingness to travel locally.
• Works well with others (both children and adults).
• Ability to work well in fast-paced environment; organized and detail-oriented; able to multi-task.
• Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.
• Able to walk several flights of stairs on occasion as many schools are without elevators.
• Coronal Polishing/Sealant certification.
• X-Ray Certification.
