Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a Recreational Therapist for a full-time role in the San Fernando Valley, CA. You will assess special education students' recreational needs and contribute to IEP meetings to tailor goals and supports.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience providing recreational therapy in schools, medical centers, or hospitals.
• Strong knowledge of school recreational therapy principles, IDEA, and Special Education programs.
• Excellent communication with students, parents, and staff.
• Culturally competent in working with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement therapeutic interventions tailored to individual student needs.
• Develop and refine instructional programs to enhance physical, social, cognitive, and emotional skills.
• Attend IEP and team meetings with comprehensive documentation of progress and goals.
• Serve as liaison between school personnel, parents, and external agencies to support recreational services.
