The Stepping Stones Group in Grants, NM is seeking a dedicated Recreational Therapist to support students' educational, social, and emotional development in a school setting.

You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, collaborate with educators and families, document services, and promote engagement and independence through therapeutic recreation activities. NM PED certification required; experience with children is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Recreational Therapy program.
• Current certification as a Recreational Therapist.
• NM PED certification required.
• Experience working with children and adolescents in school settings preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic recreational services that support students' educational, social, and emotional development.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
• Document services and maintain accurate records in accordance with district and professional standards.
• Promote student engagement, independence, and participation through therapeutic recreation activities.
• Support students in achieving functional, behavioral, and social-emotional goals.
