Job summary

Easterseals Florida is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our school-based therapy team serving students across Volusia County Schools. This role follows a school-year schedule with full-time or PRN options and benefits including insurance and paid time off.

You will implement treatment plans, provide pediatric therapy, document progress, and collaborate with families and professionals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• Current Florida PTA license.
• Pediatric experience preferred; mentorship provided.
• Proficiency with EMR and basic computer apps.
• Ability to lift and assist children up to 50 pounds; driving per program needs.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by supervising therapists.
• Provide quality therapy services to pediatric clients and support developmental goals.
• Document client progress, treatment outcomes, and billing information in EMR.
• Utilize EMR and related systems, including Office 365, Teams, and Outlook.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, therapists, and other professionals for coordinated care.
• Assist with managing therapy equipment, including recommendations and education for families.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
• Support clients across Easterseals programs as needed.
• Protect client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
