Job summary

Primary Health Solutions is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric and medical care in health centers and school-based settings. You will evaluate and treat patients, support continuity of care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role requires a Master of Science in Nursing with NP program graduation, and experience in psychiatric/mental health.

Qualifications

Master of Science degree in Nursing and graduation from an approved nurse practitioner program.
Two years of psychiatric/mental health experience with indigent populations and community-based programs is preferred; experience in a provider role is required.
Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups.
Strong problem-solving skills; ability to adapt to change.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive psychiatric and medical care to patients in health center and school-based settings.
Evaluate and treat patients; support continuity of care; educate patients and families.
Collaborate with physicians and care team members; maintain complete medical records.
Provide patient education and counseling; participate in training NP students if requested.
Maintain progress notes and necessary patient forms; communicate with referring physicians.
Complete medical administrative duties for quality patient care and compliance with accreditation.
